It's about to begin! Starting this Friday (07), the red-black athletes will take part in the Brazilian Artistic Gymnastics Specialist Championship, held at Arena Carioca 3, in the Olympic Park of Barra da Tijuca-RJ. The competition, which runs until next Sunday (09), will bring together the country's main gymnasts and the great promises of the sport.

In practice, there will be two separate competitions: the Brazilian Specialist Championship and the National Tournament. In total, 482 athletes will be represented by 61 teams from across the country. Flávia Saraiva, Jade Barbosa, Lorrane Dos Santos, Isabelle Retamiro, Lorena Antunes, Rebeca Andrade, and Vitória Corrêa will represent the Mais Querido adult women's team.

"We want to showcase everything we've trained for at this Brazilian Championship. Our group is very strong and ready for the competition. I'm very happy that some of the girls who were injured are back, and this will be very important for the team. This specialist tournament will serve as great preparation for the Pan American Games, where most of the athletes are aiming for a spot. It will be a great evaluation because we'll be competing for at least two days," said Jade Barbosa, commenting on her participation last year.

"I achieved good results in the last Brazilian Championship and was very happy, because it had been a while since I had performed so well. In this first stage of the Specialist tournament, I intend to repeat the same performance and show series at the same level as last year," said the red-and-black.
