It wasn't just in the Senior category that Flamengo shone at the Brazilian Artistic Gymnastics Championship. The Children's team won no less than five medals for the Most Beloved this Saturday (23), in São Bernardo do Campo, São Paulo. 

Coach Daniela Antunes's team performed well, securing a gold medal, three silver medals, and a bronze medal in the competition, held at the Adib Moysés Dib gymnasium. In the individual all-around, the red-and-blacks made it two on the podium, with Maria Heloisa Carvalho in first and Manuela Garcia in second.

On the floor, Maria Manuela Silva won another silver medal, and Ana Leticia Silva took bronze on the vault. The red-and-blacks also took second place overall in the team standings.

"I wasn't counting on this second place, I wasn't expecting it because they're not in that category. We were competing against much older girls, and ours are younger, and we got a good result. We competed in a category above them, and I'm very happy with what they achieved," Daniela celebrated. 

For the Children's category, athletes up to 12 years old are allowed to register. The gymnasts who participated in the championship for Flamengo are between 9 and 10 years old.
