This Saturday (6) the Rio 2016 Games had their first artistic gymnastics qualifying events - and Casa Flamengo and the Cláudio Coutinho gymnasium were also taken over by the sport in a workshop organized by the club's Olympic Sports department.
The coordinator of the US women's gymnastics team, Steve Rybacki, and Lisa Spini, coach of athlete MyKayla Skinner, Kim Zmeskal-Burdette, coach of Ragan Smith, and Qi Han, coach of Ashton Locklear, were the speakers, who exchanged knowledge with coaches, teachers and interns from Flamengo's artistic gymnastics, as well as physical trainers, physiotherapists, nutritionists, massage therapists and doctors from the club's Olympic sports.
The topics covered included the United States' talent identification and development program, "Future Stars," as well as physical preparation, nutrition, and the development of sports elements. Afterwards, everyone headed to the Cláudio Coutinho gymnasium for practice.

This Sunday (7) Casa Flamengo welcomes the new FlaBasquete point guard, Ricardo Fischer, at 9:30 am. At 17 pm, the special guest is Mozer, former world champion defender with Mais Querido in 1981 and, today, the club's football manager.
