Unfortunately, the result was not at all favorable for Brazil, which suffered its second defeat at the Rio-2007 Pan American Games.

In the first quarter, the Brazilians put together some good plays, leaving the match balanced (2-2). The Americans' big lead came in the second quarter, which ended 2-3.

In the last two periods, the Brazilians scored a single goal, while the United States fired five more goals.
