The duet (technical routine) of the Brazilian synchronized swimming team, formed by the red-black Caroline Hildebrandt and Lara Teixeira, debuted on the morning of this Wednesday (25/07), at the XV Pan American Games Rio-2007, in a glorious way.
The duo took 3rd place overall in the preliminary round with "Optcha!", a gypsy-style dance. Carol and Lara scored 45.084 points, finishing behind the United States (47.250) and Canada (47.167), who took 1st and 2nd place respectively.
The duet tests (free routine) will be held on Friday. Only after the performances will the overall scores be tallied and the duets determined. The technical duet alone accounts for 50% of the final score.
This Thursday, at 10 a.m., it will be the coaching staff's turn to take action. Synchronized Swimming competitions are taking place at Maria Lenk Aquatic Park.
