Flamengo swept the XV Pan American Games in Rio de Janeiro in 2007. With the incredible achievements of the Flamengo gymnasts, who secured three gold medals, two silver medals, and two bronze medals, Flamengo even surpassed, at one point, heavyweight teams such as Argentina, Chile, and Puerto Rico, occupying 8th place in the Pan American rankings.

But the red-and-blacks' achievements didn't stop there. With 20 athletes participating, Flamengo achieved excellent results in the four sports in which it competed.

In rowing, the most traditional sport of the Flamengo Regatta Club, the silver medal was won by the boat Oito Com, with helmsman Nilton Alonço. The other crews with rowers from Flamengo took 4th and 5th place.

Flamengo had the participation of the Canetti family in the women's water polo, which ended up being eliminated in the semifinals, finishing in 4th place.

Synchronized Swimming, the last sport to compete at the Rio-2007 Pan American Games, with the participation of four athletes from CRFlamengo, won two bronze medals; one in the duet and the other in the team.

After competing with 42 countries, CRFlamengo exceeded expectations and ended its participation in the XV Pan American Games Rio-2007 in 14th place in the medal table, obtaining 3 gold, 3 silver and 4 bronze medals, ahead of the teams from Paraguay, Uruguay, Peru and Bolivia.
