Flamengo's next game will be marked by a beautiful tribute to the athletes who competed in the XV Pan American Games.
After 56 days without playing on the Maracanã pitch, the main venue for the opening of the Rio-2007 Pan American Games, Flamengo will face Náutico, in the 18th round of the Brazilian Championship, at 18:10 pm.
Taking a ride on the red-black team's return home (there were eight away games), Flamengo's Olympic sports department will pay tribute to the athletes who brought joy not only to Brazilians, but to the entire Red-Black Nation.
The tribute, including personalized diplomas and medals, will be paid to all athletes and coaches who participated in the Rio 2007 Pan American Games. In total, Flamengo was bravely represented by 23 athletes and four coaches from six sports.
Also on Saturday, the Rio de Janeiro City Council, through the Vice-President of Olympic Sports of the CRF and Councilwoman of the city of Rio de Janeiro, Patrícia Amorim, will present the Pan-American Sports Merit medal to Flamengo.
