One of the biggest stars of the Brazilian women's artistic gymnastics team today, Jade Barbosa, once again moved Brazil. After performing brilliantly in the all-around competition at the Rio 2007 Pan American Games on Monday afternoon (July 16), the red-and-black Brazilian cried after falling on the uneven parallel bars. Brazil was close to reaching the Pan American podium and securing another medal.

Jade finished the day in fourth place with a score of 59.325. Daniele Hypólito, another red-and-black who never tires of bringing joy to Brazilians, came in 5th with a score of 57.300. Despite their efforts and expectations, neither team achieved the performance that led Brazil to win the silver medal in the team competition on Saturday, the first day of competition in the sport at the 2007th Pan American Games Rio-XNUMX.

Until competing on the last apparatus, the parallel bars, Jade was in first place in the individual all-around, surpassing the American gymnasts who led the day's competitions.

Jade and Daniele lamented the mistakes they made on Tuesday afternoon. "We train seven hours a day, and in competition everything happens so quickly. Unfortunately, we made a lot of mistakes. In any case, we're confident for the apparatus finals."
