The Brazilian women's water polo team, which suffered its second defeat at the Rio-2007 Pan American Games on Tuesday night (17/07) to the United States team (10 to 3), will have another big challenge ahead.

Brazil will face, later today, at 18 pm, at the Júlio Delamare Aquatic Park, the Cuban team, which is drawing with Canada (7-7).

According to statistics, Brazil is in 3rd place in the partial classification of the Games, with 4 points and a goal difference of 7. In addition, the red-black Marina Canetti is among the top scorers of the competition, with six goals.

So far, Brazil has scored 32 goals (an average of eight goals per game) and is in 5th place among the best attacks.

With the 7-7 draw between Cuba and Canada, the Canadians (practically) secured second place and will force Brazil and Cuba into a "life or death" game, as whoever loses will face the Americans, the big favorites to win the Pan American Games.

The match between Brazil and Cuba will be broadcast live on Sportv 2, at 18 pm.
