In the Brazilian rowing team competitions held on Monday morning (16/07), at Lagoa Rodrigo de Freitas, the Lightweight Four Without Weight crew, formed by the red-black rowers Thiago Almeida and Leandro Loureiro, as well as Alexis Mestre and Ronaldo Vargas, came in 2nd place in the second heat of the day, preliminary phase.

With a time of 6:20, the Brazilians secured their place in the repechage, which will take place today, starting at 71:16 p.m. Only two spots remain in the grand final. The teams from Cuba and El Salvador, who finished third (30:3) and fourth (6:33), respectively, will also be in contention for a spot. The United States and Canada are already guaranteed a spot in the final.
