Special Group Joy and Safety in Stadiums – GEASE-FLA\ Nação Rubro-Negra Project\ Vice-Presidency of Planning\
GAME REPORT FLAMENGO 0 x 3 BOTAFOGO\ Maracanã – 13/04/08 – 16:00 h\ Report nº 20/08\
1) TICKET SALES
To reduce crowding and make things easier for fans, we suggest placing signs above operating ticket windows, indicating the type of ticket sold and its price.
We once again remind fans to avoid buying tickets from scalpers to avoid embarrassment. Currently, the ticket sales process is computerized. Therefore, our professionals can determine the card's origin using the card's identification number.
2) PUBLIC ACCESS TO THE STADIUM
Access to the stadium was not smooth, especially in front of the UERJ ramp, where conflicts occurred between fans.
3) STADIUM ENTRANCE
The entry took place without any major problems.
4) PUBLIC
The audience was 43.385 paying and 47.400 in attendance. Revenue was R$916.218,50.

JECRIM – There were 7 incidents, 4 of which involved the arrest of a scalper, 1 of which involved throwing an object (a chair), 1 of which involved contempt, and 1 of which involved an aggressive act by a police officer against a fan (pepper spray in the eyes). 2 incidents (theft and racist abuse) were forwarded to nearby police stations.
Medical Department - 43 cases were reported, including one removal and four for alcoholism. The Medical Department urges fans taking medication for hypertension, diabetes, or various other conditions to come properly medicated or bring their own. A football match is incredibly emotional! Therefore, it's best to come prepared and prepared!
SUDERJ – Nine yellow and two green seats on the Botafogo fans' side, 9 yellow and four green seats on the Flamengo fans' side, and 2 white seats were damaged. We are asking for help from the organized fan groups located in the yellow section to inform fans about the consequences of this act, which is being monitored by cameras. Any fan caught vandalizing stadium property will be detained and brought to summary trial. Fans from organized fan groups may be punished.
5) ORGANIZED FANS
The fans' participation was peaceful and orderly inside the stadium.
6) MAIN OCCURRENCES
The significantly lower-than-expected attendance for a derby that decided a finalist deserves some reflection. We found that the emptiest sections were precisely those where fans who don't participate in organized fan groups and those who bring their families are concentrated (lower, white seats), demonstrating that derby matches are stigmatized by violence. These fans end up preferring to watch the game on television, as the live spectacle lacks appeal. The low attendance in the lower seats also demonstrates that ticket prices aren't the most relevant factor. We, those responsible for the logistics of this entertainment, must seek to compete with television and others, seeking to increase comfort and well-being, and ensuring greater fan safety.
7) PARKING
We would like to remind fans once again that anyone who parks on the sidewalks of the stadium's side streets runs a significant risk of having their car towed. The parking attendants, upon seeing the tow trucks, disappear unpunished. Be careful! The UERJ parking lot is a good option, but fans should arrive early. Other options include Rua General Canabarro and side streets, the Extras parking lot on Rua Mariz e Barros and Av. Maracanã, and the underground parking lot of the Administrative Center (Piranhão). Many fans, even though they were informed that parking on Radial Oeste was not permitted, chose to trust the parking attendants. All of these cars were towed and taken to the Municipal Depot.
8) TRAFFIC IN THE SURROUNDING AREA
Traffic flowed smoothly.
9) GEASE ACTIONS
GEASE-Fla is in constant contact with SUDERJ and the club's management, aiming to increase the attractiveness of Flamengo's games at Maracanã. We are confident that this joint effort will result in very positive actions for fans this semester.
FlaZine - To publish FlaZine, Flamengo's fan magazine, we need advertisers and sponsors. Interested parties should contact Simone at simone@flashassessoria.com.br.
We remind fans, especially those traveling with minors, to purchase tickets in advance or, if purchasing on game day, to arrive early to avoid crowds at the ticket booths and turnstiles. GEASE-Fla, in partnership with FLATV and SUDERJ, is seeking to entertain early-arriving fans with videos and goal highlights.
