Brazilian rowing secures another final

Another team of red-and-black rowers guarantees a place in the grand final of the Rio-2007 Pan American Games.

Rodrigo de Freitas Lagoon has been bringing good luck to Brazilian rowers. On Monday afternoon (July 16th), the men's Quatro Sem Peso-Leve boat, formed by the red-and-blacks Thiago Almeida and Leandro Loureiro, in addition to the rowers who are part of the Brazilian rowing team, Alexis Mestre and Ronaldo Vargas, managed to secure participation in the grand final by finishing in 07st place in the repechage.

In the morning, the Brazilians had already shown signs that they could deliver good results for Brazil. The rowers finished second in the preliminary round with a time of 2:6, securing a spot in the repechage.

The Men's Lightweight Four-Skiff final will be held on Thursday, the 19th. This Tuesday (17/07), the Lightweight Double Skiff finals will be held, with the red-blacks Thiago Gomes and José Carlos Sobral Júnior.
