FlaTV launches this Friday (6), at 20 pm, new content, aimed at children, with exclusive music and animations. The Flamiguinhos channel, produced by Flamengo in partnership with Grajaú Filmes, is the red-black digital platform's bet to win the hearts of young fans... and adults too.
 
The project Flamingos arises to meet a growing demand in sports clubs, especially Flamengo, a club with a large majority in all segments of society, but mainly among young people, according to Datafolha.
 
"This is a project we've wanted to do for a long time and are proud to produce. Young Flamengo fans will be enchanted by the Mengão cartoon, and the passion that's been instilled in them since birth will grow even stronger in their hearts." The channel Flamingos It guarantees lots of fun and excitement for the whole family,” said Bernardo Monteiro, Flamengo’s Communications Director.
 
Wagner Corrêa, one of the production company's partners, alongside Thiago Rebelo and Marcus Martins, also highlights the huge audience of young people who surf the web.
 
"We know that today more than 80% of children have access to the internet and consume online content, mainly on YouTube. However, football clubs in Brazil and around the world still only offer occasional initiatives aimed at this audience, often without consistency or recurrence. So we created Flamingos, to unite the passions for music, Flamengo and children”, says Wagner.
 
With a repertoire ranging from original songs to fan-favorite versions, the content already features collaborations with famous Flamengo fans, such as musician Dudu Nobre, who sings the club's anthem in one of the channel's videos. As Thiago Rebelo points out, "in addition to Dudu, we also collaborate with composer André Diniz, a multi-award winner of Rio's Carnival, who added a special touch to the project's compositions. We're working to get other great Flamengo artists to participate in future videos."
 
The productions also feature a pedagogical perspective from Diniz, who, in addition to being a musician, is a teacher. Wladimir Corrêa, another composer of the project's songs, celebrates the project's approach. "We want to bring to the Flamingos care in children’s content in a playful and pedagogical way, but without losing the red-black essence”, he points out.
 
With support from Flamengo's Communications and Marketing department and investment and production from Grajaú Filmes, the project's content Flamingos will be hosted on Rubro-Negro's YouTube channel, FlaTV.
 
The content
With five newly released videos ("Flamengo Anthem," "Daughter, do you want to know?","Flamengo Deep Down in Your Chest," "There Will Be Mengo," "The Joy of Being a Flamengo Fan"), the Flamiguinhos channel features characters inspired by names that have made history at the club. Kids can have fun singing classic Flamengo songs, like the anthem and the fans' chants, as well as songs that touch their parents' hearts.
 
The characters
 
TUCO: Arthur's nickname, in honor of our idol Zico (Arthur Antunes Coimbra), this smart kid represents Flamengo's quick thinking, the ability to always turn things around and achieve the most unlikely results.
 
LULU: This is Luísa's name, a tribute to our former gymnast Luisa Parente. This sweet little girl embodies the love and passion for Flamengo, embracing everyone with warmth and affection.
 
BETO: Our Alberto, named after the rower and founder of Fla's football, Alberto Borgerth, is a very playful boy, who represents the relaxed and playful nature of our fans.
 
KEKA: Erika's nickname, a tribute to our track and field star, Erica Lopes, the Black Gazelle. Charismatic and a team warrior, our soccer star, along with her friends, represents the entire red-and-black race in any competition.
 
CARLINHOS: Father of Tuco and Lulu, he was named after the coach, player, and idol who made history at Flamengo, Carlinhos, our Violin. The "maestro" of the children's games always ensures harmony among the kids.
 
VITÓRIA: Tuco and Lulu's mother, she has always identified with the "win, win, win" of our anthem. Guardian of the kids, she is present at all times in the class, encouraging everyone with her care and affection.
 
CANELA: The adorable little dog was named after the kids learned about Kanela (Togo Renan Soares), Fla's basketball, soccer, and water polo coach. Canela loves playing with the kids, whether on land or in the sea.
 
FERUSA: Another story told to the kids inspired this brave kitten's name: Pherusa was the first rowing vessel for Flamengo. Resilient, this companion makes the most of her seven lives to reinvent herself through fun.
