This March, Flamengo's Department of Social Responsibility and Citizenship held another edition of the "Future of the Nation" project. The essay contest, aimed at 14- and 15-year-olds, focused on women's rights, women's strength, and the inequalities caused by sexism.

In partnership with the George Pfisterer State School, Mais Querido awarded the best texts with a tour of Maracanã and licensed club products.

The essays highlighted women's daily struggles and the path to greater equality in society. "We want respect and equality. We are much more powerful than people think," wrote Eduarda Silva Condé. The boys also expressed their concern for the cause: "My mother is my inspiration because I see what she goes through every day in this sexist world," wrote André Luiz.

The teenagers cited sports inspirations, such as Marta and Rebeca Andrade. The format was free, inspiring argumentative and literary texts, such as short stories and chronicles.

Education is one of the pillars of the Department of Social Responsibility and Citizenship's work, and the "Future of the Nation" project is a partnership between Clube de Regatas do Flamengo, state and municipal schools, and social projects. Through essay contests, the club encourages reflections on important topics, working with teaching teams and teachers.
