For every Flamengo goal, ten trees will be planted for reforestation in Lagoa de Marapendi

In partnership with the Km Solidário app, UltraCoffee and SOS Lagoas, Mengão launches the Pé de Gol campaign by planting ten seedlings for each goal scored in the Brasileirão.

Mengão players will have another good reason to increase their goal average and win matches. Flamengo has teamed up with the KM Solidário app, Tal da Castanha's UltraCoffee, and SOS Lagoas in another innovative initiative: after the championship, for every Mengão goal, ten trees will be planted on the banks of the Marapendi Canal in Barra da Tijuca, West Zone of Rio de Janeiro, an area affected by environmental degradation and water pollution over the years.

Saplings of native Atlantic Forest species will be planted to contribute to the recovery and maintenance of local biodiversity. Volunteers and children from social projects will participate in the tree planting.

The app, the club's partner in this initiative, converts kilometers donated during physical activities into donations for partner institutions. Simply access the app @kmsolidarioapp, choose your preferred institution, start your physical activity, and you're done! Download the Km Solidário app from the App Store (iOS) or Google Play (Android), follow the initiative, and help!

"This partnership with Flamengo shows how sports can impact lives and the environment. Flamengo's example demonstrates how a club can engage with social and environmental causes in innovative ways. We urge the nation to participate too! For every R$20 donated on the website, www.kmsolidario.com.br a tree will be planted in the Flamengo forest,” says Andre Kok, co-founder of KM Solidário.

"We're thrilled with this partnership. Besides celebrating Mengão's goals and rooting for their third consecutive national championship, it's great to know we can contribute to the reforestation of such a significant degraded area for the city," said Angela Machado, Flamengo's Director of Social Responsibility.

"It's in Ultracoffee's DNA to generate a positive impact on society and the environment through purposeful initiatives like this. Our mission is to provide people with a healthier life. And that means offering them products that help them make better choices, but also preserving the environment," said Rodrigo Carvalho, one of the founders of Positive Brands, owner of the Ultracoffee brand.

About Km Solidário

Km Solidário's mission is to combat sedentarism and amplify good social practices through an app that connects people who practice physical activities with people, projects, and companies that seek to contribute to reducing social and economic inequality in Brazil.

The company believes that donating is good for both the donor and the recipient (in fact, it is scientifically proven that there is a causal relationship between the act of donating and mental health) and, through Km Solidário, offers a new way to donate, using kilometers traveled in physical activities to impact and transform lives.
