ABC da Construção renews Flamengo's sponsorship for the 2024 season
The contract provides for the brand to be displayed on the playing and training shorts of the men's, women's and U-20 football teams and the basketball team.
By Flamengo and ABC of Construction - inABC da Construção, one of the largest finishing material chains in Brazil, renewed its sponsorship contract with Clube de Regatas do Flamengo this Thursday (28) and maintains the partnership with the Rio de Janeiro club for the fourth consecutive season. The company will print its brand on the back of the game and training shorts of the men's, women's and U-20 soccer teams and the basketball team until 31/12/2024, as part of the marketing investments focused on the national expansion plan.
For Tiago Moura Mendonça, the company's CEO, investing in soccer teams is one of ABC da Construção's key differentiators. "It's natural for us that, with ABC's growth, we can maintain our partnership with Flamengo. We are visionaries and continue to foster regional development through a pioneering expansion process in Brazil's most competitive markets. We already have a presence in the state of Rio de Janeiro and serve more than 450 customers in over 1.100 cities across Brazil with a business model that can be replicated in any size city. In 2024, we will maintain the company's reach by reaching an increasing number of cities in the states where we operate. Investing in sports and in a club with national reach is very important for ABC," states Tiago.
From the Rio de Janeiro team's perspective, the renewal of the sponsorship contract was also greatly celebrated, and expectations for the 2024 season are the best.
"We are delighted to renew this successful partnership with ABC da Construção for another year. The results were very positive and demonstrated, once again, that investing in Flamengo and the strength of the nation is worthwhile. The brand visibility that the club provides for its sponsors, combined with the engagement of Flamengo fans with these companies, leverages major business deals and forms a process in which both Flamengo and its partner stand to gain," celebrated Gustavo Oliveira, Vice President of Communications and Marketing.
The Minas Gerais-based construction technology company, in addition to making significant investments in performance intelligence and digital marketing, is keen to establish a presence in the world's most popular sport. Beyond sports development, it provides visibility, demonstrates the strength of its ever-growing network, and positions the company as one of the leading brands in the segment. The result of these partnerships is one of the pillars contributing to ABC da Construção's expansion, bringing greater brand recognition and expanding the company's digital footprint. Consequently, the investment leads to increased revenue, while maintaining the attributes of a responsible brand that understands diversity and inclusion.
One of ABC da Construção's goals is to increase its brand strength nationally through its partnership with Flamengo and its fans. To promote this interaction, ABC decided to bring the team closer to its fans and created Fla Day, an event held at ABC da Construção's guide shops, offering a variety of benefits and experiences for clients, the public, and the club's fans. The first edition of the event took place at one of ABC's guide shops in Volta Redonda, Rio de Janeiro, where visitors could see the 2022 Libertadores Cup, take photos with the official mascot, win exclusive gifts, and participate in raffles for Flamengo's official jerseys. Similar initiatives are planned for 2024 in all locations where ABC operates, with over 40 events expected in January alone.
