October is marked by Breast Cancer and Cervical Cancer Prevention campaigns. Next Saturday, October 26th, Maracanã will host a social responsibility event during the Flamengo vs. Juventude match. The campaign, called "Hair, Love, and Passion," in partnership with Léo Lopes Hair Salon, invites fans to donate hair to make wigs for cancer patients. The event will take place in the stadium's North sector, starting at 14 p.m.

Donations will be sent to the "Fios de Luz Institute," which makes wigs for people undergoing cancer treatment. This process, often associated with hair loss due to chemotherapy and radiation therapy, profoundly affects patients' self-esteem. Hair donation aims to provide emotional support, helping to strengthen the confidence and self-image of those facing the disease.

The campaign has already begun among athletes and club employees who have made donations. To participate, the donated lock of hair must be at least 20 centimeters long. The cut will be performed by professionals on-site, and the campaign is open to the public attending the game.
