Last Saturday (4) Flamengo provided unforgettable moments for eight students from the “Jogaremos Juntos” group in Cantagalo, a social project of the club that offers basketball, soccer and judo classes to 100 children aged 6 to 17 from the community, using sport as a tool for social transformation. The young people, who are basketball students, had never seen a basketball match and were thrilled to step onto the Maracanãzinho court for the first time.

"It was a unique experience for each student. Watching an NBB final, stepping onto the court, and interacting with Flamengo players will be a lifelong experience for them. This experience makes their dreams more tangible, as if they could get closer to achieving them," said Luis Fernando, a teacher at the "We Will Play Together" Center in Cantagalo.

With its own methodology, "Jogaremos Juntos" is an educational project through sports, based on socio-emotional skills. Through the project, children and young people have the opportunity to develop self-awareness, resilience, empathy, focus, etc. Skills they learn through sports and then apply to face and overcome life's challenges, whether at school, with family, or with friends. In addition to Cantagalo, the CRF's "Jogaremos Juntos" project also has a center in Vila Aliança, in the city's East Zone.
