Students from social projects go to Maracanã to enjoy Flamengo's victory
This was another edition of “Nação no Maraca”, an action promoted by the Social Responsibility department
By Communication - Flamengo - inLast Saturday (30), Flamengo held another “Nação no Maraca”, an initiative through which social projects partnered with the club's Social Responsibility department win tickets to watch a Flamengo match at Maracanã. This time, the winners were the institutions Projeto Social Em Ação, which works with sport and social inclusion in Complexo do Alemão, and Aldeias Infantis SOS Brasil, which works with refugees and people in situations of extreme social vulnerability.
In total, 60 people watched Mengão's 4-1 victory; many of them were at Maracanã for the first time.
"We have children and teenagers who have never been to Maracanã. This is a huge incentive for them. We thank Flamengo for providing this wonderful day for all of us. It's an encouragement for the young people in our community, who live amidst violence, and we can show them other paths," said Ivan Vilela, president of the Social Em Ação Project.
