On Monday (6), the Gávea headquarters gained another space for sports. A modern beach tennis arena with Life Style Experience was inaugurated, consisting of four courts, two of which are covered, a relaxation area and a rooftop bar decorated by the Corona brewery. With a privileged view, members can enjoy the sunset in one of the most beautiful postcards of Rio de Janeiro.
Alongside President Rodolfo Landim, the court's inauguration was attended by Fla-Gávea Vice-President Getúlio Brasil Nunes, Vice-President of Communication and Marketing, Gustavo Oliveira, Vice-President of Heritage, Artur Rocha Neto, Vice-President of Olympic Sports, Guilherme Kroll, Vice-President of Rowing, Raul Bragattini, Vice-President of Historical Heritage, Luiz Fernando Fadigas, Vice-President of Secretariat, Paulo Cesar Pereira, Vice-President of Information Technology, Alexandre Pinto, Vice-President of External Relations, Adalberto Ribeiro, Vice-President of the President's Office, Marcelo Conti, as well as the Club's CEO, Reinaldo Belotti, and the presidents of powers and directors.
"The number of people practicing the sport is impressive. And the way it's growing... Everywhere I go, on the beaches, I see more and more beach tennis courts. This is another achievement honoring my campaign promise to make our Gávea the best multi-sport club in the country. I'm sure it will be a huge success," said Rodolfo Landim.
It's worth noting that the venue has an exclusive entrance for non-club members. In partnership with Fla-Gávea, world beach tennis champion Guilherme Prata manages the venue.
