The plenary of the Chamber of Deputies was dressed in red and black this Wednesday (12), in Brasília, to celebrate the 130th anniversary of Clube de Regatas do Flamengo. The tribute was proposed by Congressman Dr. Luizinho (Progressistas/RJ) and brought together authorities, parliamentarians, and Flamengo fans who filled the plenary hall in a festive atmosphere.

President Luiz Eduardo Baptista (Bap) received the honor on behalf of the club, accompanied by Vice-President Flávio Willeman and the Director of Institutional Relations, Aleksander dos Santos. The ceremony also included the 1981 world champions Raul Plassmann and Leandro, and Olympic champion Isaquias Queiroz, who sang the Flamengo anthem, which was repeated in chorus by all those present.

In his speech, Bap highlighted the historical significance of the moment and the club's strength throughout its 130 years:

"It is a pleasure to be here speaking as president of the Nation that is celebrating 130 years of achievements. From every difficult situation, Flamengo knew how to rise up and move forward — and that is what constitutes Flamengo's glory."

Bap is honored with the title of Honorary Citizen of Brasília.

On Wednesday morning, during a Solemn Session, President Luiz Eduardo Baptista (Bap) was honored — this time with the title of Honorary Citizen of Brasília, in a ceremony at the Legislative Chamber of the Federal District.

The initiative came from Representative Pastor Daniel de Castro, who greeted the president with the following words:

"Brasília welcomes President Bap. Welcome, now officially, as an honorary citizen of our capital."

Several authorities were present, including Vice-Governor Celina Leão, as well as representatives from the public sector and the sports community.

Visibly moved, Bap expressed his gratitude for the honor and stated that, although he currently holds the position of president, his love for the club speaks louder:

"I am president, but what I truly am is Flamengo — like each and every person here. I will never lack dedication to making Flamengo better every day. Brasília becomes, with great pride, my second home."
