The Gávea social headquarters received, this Wednesday (16), a very special visit. Cardinal Archbishop Dom Orani Tempesta held a ceremony in front of Fla Memória, an interactive exhibition about the history of Mais Querido, and blessed the club for the start of another season.

The event was attended by president Rodolfo Landim, guests, staff, and fans. The ceremony lasted about 30 minutes, and the Archbishop of the Archdiocese of São Sebastião do Rio de Janeiro also blessed the image of Saint Jude Thaddeus and a plaque in the club's chapel.

Rodolfo Landim carried the image of Saint Sebastian and, at the end of the ceremony, presented Cardinal Archbishop Dom Orani Tempesta with a Sacred Mantle. "We had a moment of great pleasure here receiving this visitor during the process of the thirteenth of Saint Sebastian. We were very happy because he also blessed a plaque that we will place in our chapel and the image of our patron saint. It was a beautiful celebration, attended by employees, club members, benefactors, and directors. Now we count on this blessing to have a very positive year for our Red-Black Nation," stated the president.
