Letter to members - Change in reopening of the registered office
By Fla-Gávea and Secretariat - inRio de Janeiro, July 01 of 2020
Dear member of the Flamengo Regatta Club,
We inform you that the reopening of the headquarters has been changed by the City of Rio to July 10, "PHASE 3B", in compliance with Decree 47.551, published on June 26. The Union of Clubs also issued a circular on June 27, announcing the new reopening date.
As per the note sent on June 23, we reiterate that we have been working on this reopening process for over 40 days, researching hygiene protocols and the use of various existing activities, based on the guidelines of the World Health Organization (WHO), other public entities involved and our Unified Center for Identification and Development of Performance Athletes (CUIDAR).
With these documents and the City Hall Decree in hand, we began the Protocol for Returning to Activities at the Social Headquarters (click to check), composed of six phases, scheduled to occur every two weeks, with the following main objectives:
• Be quite conservative and restrictive in the initial phase, aiming to advance gradually, avoiding setbacks;
• Offer the Members a safe and comfortable environment;
• Avoid as much as possible the possibility of crowds and promote social distancing within the Club;
• Use the hygiene protocols established by the authorities or representative entities within the club;
• Inform, enable and request that the Members adopt the standard of personal care and behavior that protects their own health and that of other club members.
This process will require a tremendous effort to adapt our staff, Board of Directors, and Directors, as well as significant collaboration from the members and athletes of our Clube de Regatas do Flamengo. We must remember that each individual action can increase or prevent risks to our own health and, most importantly, the health of other members.
A series of hygiene measures, personal care, and personal protective equipment will be taken and provided by our team, as well as by outsourced employees, such as daily temperature checks and the use of masks and face shields.
We have installed several hand sanitizer dispensers at high-traffic areas within the club and in internal spaces.
Detailed training was provided to all staff on the new hygiene protocols for the various facilities and the personal hygiene precautions that everyone must maintain.
These combined measures will allow teams to work in shifts on alternating days, reducing the number of people in departments and their exposure to public transportation. With this same goal, outsourced services will be subject to restrictions, with a gradual return schedule according to each phase.
We are facing an unprecedented and challenging experience, so the plan below will be adjusted after daily assessment of what occurs in each phase, so that corrections can be made for the next stage.
We ask that you read our Return Plan, understanding of the gravity of the moment and understanding that we will all be limited in our interests and preferences, but that the greater the level of collaboration, the faster and safer the return to the much-desired normality will be.
Since the biometric system will not be in operation, members will be required to present their membership cards. Members who do not have them, or for any reason are blocked from accessing the turnstiles, should go to the Secretariat, which will be open from 10:16 AM to XNUMX:XNUMX PM.
Finally, we would like to thank the members of the Board of Directors, the other branches of government, our employees, and, most importantly, our members and athletes, for their outpouring of support and affection for Clube de Regatas do Flamengo during this difficult time for everyone. We've received countless messages of support and encouragement.
This protocol will change our daily routines at the Social Headquarters, but it won't alter our spirit of friendship and unity. At a time when we need to work together to be equal in our responsibilities to minimize our risks until the COVID-19 pandemic is fully under control, we ask for everyone's support in this new phase.
Greetings Red-Blacks,
Gustavo Gomes Fernandes
