Rio Operations Center releases CET-Rio traffic plan for the Copa do Brasil final
Flamengo and Corinthians will face each other this Wednesday (19), at 21:45 pm, at the Maracanã stadium; check out bans and recommendations

Then keep an eye on the special traffic plan prepared by CET-Rio and released by the Rio Operations Center (COR) for the day of the decision between Flamengo and Corinthians, this Wednesday (19), at 21:45 pm, at the temple of football.
To accommodate the event, several roads around the stadium will be closed. See all the information below and plan your journey to the stadium comfortably and safely.
PROHIBITIONS:
Roads that will be closed from 17:30 pm on Wednesday (19) to 1:30 am on Thursday (20):
-Professor Eurico Rabelo Street;
-Visconde de Itamarati Street, between São Francisco Xavier and Prof. Eurico Rabelo streets;
-Isidro de Figueiredo Street;
- Counselor Olegário Street;
-Artur Menezes Street;
-Mata Machado Street, between Paula Sousa Avenue and Maracanã Avenue;
-Maracanã Avenue, in both directions, between São Francisco Xavier Street and Pres. Castelo Branco Avenue (West Radial).
-Av. Pres. Castelo Branco (West Radial), towards the Center, between São Francisco Xavier Street and Maracanã Avenue;
-Oduvaldo Cozzi Viaduct, at the entrances to Maracanã Avenue.
-Professor Manoel de Abreu Avenue, towards Flag Square, between São Francisco Xavier Street and Pres. Castelo Branco Avenue (West Radial);
-Dona Zulmira Street, between Professor Manoel de Abreu Avenue and São Francisco Xavier Street.
Traffic conditions will be monitored for potential impacts, and traffic signal timings will be adjusted to improve flow on alternative routes and the region's main traffic corridors. The traffic operation will involve 70 personnel, including Municipal Guard officers, CET-Rio officers, and contractors, eight operational vehicles, and 14 motorcycles. Ten variable message boards will also be used to inform traffic closure times and alternative routes.
PARKING PROHIBITION:
From 8 am on Wednesday (19) to 1:30 am on Thursday (20) parking of vehicles will be prohibited on Avenida Paula Sousa, left-hand lane, next to even-numbered buildings, in the section between Rua São Francisco Xavier and Rua Professor Eurico Rabelo.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTES:
Vehicles must use the following alternative routes:
Coming from the Center and South Zone
-To Tijuca: use the Paulo de Frontin and Satamini routes or follow Praça da Bandeira, Rua Pará/Rua Paraíba and Rua Mariz e Barros;
-For Vila Isabel and Grajaú: use the routes above and then Rua Major Ávila and Rua Felipe Camarão;
-For the Greater Méier region: use the Visconde de Niterói Street route.
Coming from Tijuca, Grajaú, Vila Isabel and surrounding areas
-For the Center and South Zone: use the Conde de Bonfim – Haddock Lobo route.
Coming from Greater Meier
-For the Center and the South Zone: use the Rua Visconde de Niterói route.
SURROUNDING RESIDENTS:
Access for vehicles belonging to residents of the immediate surroundings of Maracanã (Professor Eurico Rabelo, Visconde de Itamarati, Isidro de Figueiredo, Artur Menezes and Conselheiro Olegário streets) will be made exclusively via Av. Paula Sousa and Rua Professor Eurico Rabelo, upon presentation of proof of residence.
RECOMMENDATION:
-Drivers are advised to avoid passing through the area during the closure times, trying to plan their journeys in advance or using alternative routes.
