Christian Oliveira wins the professional category of the Fla-Gávea Finals 2022

Last Sunday, Rio de Janeiro native Christian Oliveira capped a perfect campaign by winning the 2022 Fla-Gávea Finals without dropping a set. In the final, he faced the skilled Francisco Jhones and won 6-2, 6-3. The 22-year-old received the trophy from his father, the great teacher Glauciêr Pará.


Christian, who has points in both the ATP singles and doubles rankings, defeated the experienced Philipe Guimaraes in the quarterfinals and the promising Valter Albuquerque in the semifinals. To reach the final, Jhones defeated Carlos Duarte and Hatteros Tito Sarnicola. He ends the tour ranked number two in the Professional Category. Goiás warrior Victor Fernandes, champion of the Second Stage, ends the season ranked number one.
