Flamengo celebrated its 125th anniversary in style this weekend (November 14 and 15, 2020). On Saturday, the club held a massive livestream featuring idols (such as world champions Mozer and Adílio), board members, illustrious fans, and plenty of music. Performances included Xande de Pilares and the Fla Manguaça samba school.
This Sunday, the traditional anniversary celebration, already well-known among the red-and-black fans, was held, with members of the club's board of directors and members in attendance. The event began with a dawn bell at the rowing headquarters.
"I'd like to thank everyone for coming. It's always great to be a part of this club tradition," said president Rodolfo Landim.
At the event, Raul Bagattini, vice-president of Remo, was honored with a commemorative plaque for 50 years of service to Mais Querido.

In Gávea, Mass in the chapel, always blessed by our patron saint, Saint Jude Thaddeus, was celebrated by Father Thiago. And, of course, there was a birthday celebration with a beautiful red-and-black cake and a soccer match for the members on the historic Gávea field.
