The Flamengo Regatta Club informs that, in an agreement between the City Hall, through CET-Rio, and public safety agencies, it was decided that the celebration of the club's titles will take place on Sunday (13/11), at 9:5 am, on Presidente Antônio Carlos Avenue, along the same lines as the megabloco parades that take place during Carnival. To facilitate the event, traffic closures will begin at 30:450 am, with the closure of the Rio 10 Years Tunnel, Primeiro de Março Street, and Presidente Antônio Carlos Avenue and their access roads. Additionally, the Marcello Alencar Tunnel will be closed at 14:XNUMX am in both directions. The event is expected to end at XNUMX:XNUMX pm.

Due to the road closures for the event, CET-Rio recommends that drivers seek alternative routes for their journeys and, if possible, avoid going through the city center, as traffic in the area is expected to be impacted. For those heading to the city center, the recommendation is to prioritize the use of Supervia and Metrô trains, as these means of transport are not directly impacted by road closures, or to use the route via Lapa (Avenida Mem de Sá). It is also recommended to plan your journeys in advance, especially for those who have scheduled appointments, such as flights at Santos Dumont Airport or the ENEM exam.

To minimize the impact on traffic in the region, the Cycling Competition Protection Area – APCC Porto and the Praça da Cruz Vermelha Leisure Area will be suspended.

The traffic operation will involve 175 agents, including municipal guards, CET-Rio operators and traffic support staff, who will work to maintain fluidity, organize intersections, guide pedestrians and drivers, and carry out roadblocks.

CET-Rio technicians at the Rio Operations Center (COR) will monitor the event region through cameras and, if necessary, traffic light adjustments will be implemented.
