During a short run at Maracanãzinho, the Disney On Ice ice skating show enchanted children from social projects and their caregivers, who had the opportunity to experience classic figures like Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Cinderella, and other fascinating characters from children's stories last weekend. For many, it was their first time seeing a cultural show.
With the support of Flamengo, through its Social Responsibility Department, 100 tickets were distributed to partner social institutions. Cultural and artistic activities are fundamental for personal development, cultural enrichment, and inclusion. Initiatives like these encourage children to explore their creative potential, broaden their cultural horizons, and build a more promising future for themselves and their communities.
In addition to teachers and students from some of the Jogaremos Juntos Centers, a Flamengo social project that uses sport as a tool for social transformation, the action also included those assisted by the organizations Espaço Recriando, in Anil, and Em Ação, in Complexo do Alemão.
"Today is a special day for our students. Watching a show like this provides the children with a very important cultural moment," said Ana Carolina Pereira, coordinator of Espaço Recriando. "Everyone loved it and was impressed by everything they saw. We're sure it's etched in the minds and hearts of each of them," added Allan Chaves de Souza, Em Ação teacher.
