A self-proclaimed Flamengo surfer, Ítalo Ferreira, a world and Olympic champion, was presented with the Sacred Mantle this Sunday by Flamengo. Ítalo will compete in the WSL's Saquarema stage. 

Ecstatic with the gift, Ítalo Ferreira wished Flamengo good luck in the Club World Cup.

"I've been a fan of Flamengo since I was a kid, and so is my dad. The last game against Chelsea was thrilling. In the second half, the guys put on a show. In fact, from the start, the ball just wasn't going in. But then they showed off. Bruno Henrique is playing really well. Pedro, Arrascaeta... they play really well, I really like them. I wish everyone good luck there. We're here cheering, really cheering," said Ítalo. 

Third in the world rankings, Ítalo Ferreira has already qualified for the round of 16 of the Saquarema stage (the ninth stage of the circuit). Good luck to you too, champion!
