Flamengo and Fluminense announced on Tuesday (21) that they will hold an electronic auction for Maracanã boxes. The last auction was held in 2019, and this new edition is part of a larger strategy that began with Fla-Flu Serviços winning the stadium concession for 20 years. The joint administration of Flamengo and Fluminense aims not only to maximize Maracanã's revenue, but also to attract new strategic partners to boost the iconic stadium's commercial and sporting relevance.

Eleven boxes will be auctioned, and the deadline for registration is January 11th. For the first time, some boxes will be available for two- and three-year contracts, expanding the possibilities for participants. The auction will take place on January 29, 2, starting at 3:31 am.

"We renewed 87% of our box contracts, and since demand is so high, we understood that an auction would be the best way to reach a new, larger audience with complete transparency and equality," said Severiano Braga, CEO President of Maracanã. 

Auction winners will be entitled to more than 70 games in 2025.

During a press conference held at the stadium itself, details about the auction process and the new features of this edition were presented. The auction will be conducted by Golden Gol, Maracanã's strategic partner. 

The auction is an opportunity for companies to share unique moments with partners and collaborators. The box offers a premium Maracanã experience. Auction Highlights:

• Extended Contracts: For the first time, it will be possible to purchase boxes with contracts of up to 2 and 3 years.

• Transparent Electronic Dynamics: The auction will be held electronically, ensuring confidentiality of bids and competitiveness.

o Only the highest bid will be displayed.

o Each bid in the last two minutes will extend the auction by an additional two minutes.

o The highest bidders will have priority in choosing among the available boxes within each lot.

• Technical visit period: until 29/01

• Auction: January 31, 2025, starting at 10 am.

How to participate:

Interested parties must register on the official website, pay the R$1.000,00 registration fee, and submit the required documentation. After approval, participants will receive a login and password to access the bidding platform and will receive training on how to use the system.

Auction dynamics:

• Proposals will start with minimum bids according to the lot, always per seat

• To outbid the highest bidder, participants must add at least 1,0% and a maximum of 3,0% to the highest bidder's value. The system will accept increasing bids regardless of the participant's position and always respect the minimum bid and the minimum increment between offers.

• The highest bid amount will always be available for all customers to view, other bids will not.

• Each bid made in the final 2 minutes will extend the auction by an additional 2 minutes.

• The highest bidders for each lot will have priority in choosing among the available boxes in the lot in question (for lots with more than one box being offered)
