Historic day! Last Wednesday (01), the first educational visit entirely in Libras was carried out by the Flamengo Museum's Educational Department at the Gávea headquarters. Students from the Liceu Nilo Peçanha school had their visit mediated by educator Ulrich Palhares and were able to learn about the Clube de Regatas do Flamengo and how various historical processes influenced the trajectory of the Most Beloved.

"It was my first visit with students accompanied by a bilingual teacher and a Libras interpreter. However, I feel part of the deaf community, honored, and comfortable with deaf communication and culture. It's a great thrill to be a deaf educator at the Flamengo Museum's Educational Department, helping to disseminate Libras within the pedagogical experience, which is a challenge within Flamengo's sporting and historical context. The importance of accessibility through sign language is to offer a visit that opens minds and increases knowledge of the world for the Brazilian and international deaf communities. For the success of the Flamengo Museum's Educational Department, it is a great honor to add further institutional value to our work," said Palhares.
