Last Monday (10), Flamengo, represented by its Embassies and Consulates department, visited Casas Benfica, in Portugal, for an exchange of experiences between the two projects. The meeting, which was attended by Maurício Gomes de Mattos and Eduardo Barbosa, vice-president and coordinator of the department, respectively, took place at Estádio da Luz, in Lisbon.
The red-blacks were welcomed by the vice-president of Sport Lisboa e Benfica, Domingos Almeida Lima, in addition to the following directors: Jorge Jacinto (director of the Casas Benfica department), Juliana Freddi (communications specialist at Casas Benfica) and Hugo Santos (project manager at Casas Benfica).
"We came to Lisbon to strengthen ties with Benfica in the Embassies and Consulates department, along with Casas Benfica. We left with a fantastic impression of their project, and they also had a great impression of ours. So it was a very fruitful meeting for both Flamengo and Benfica. I'm grateful for the welcome; we were truly warmly welcomed by the Portuguese people and were delighted with everything we saw," said Maurício Gomes de Mattos.
In addition to Casas Benfica, Flamengo visited the Fla-Portugal Embassy, where they met with the ambassador and directors. It's worth noting that this is one of Mengão's main embassies in Europe.
