Regarding the ticket sales process for the Flamengo vs. Bahia game, Clube de Regatas do Flamengo clarifies that:



1. The ticket sales process for Brazilian Football Championship matches is the exclusive responsibility of the home club, in this case Esporte Clube Bahia, in accordance with the provisions of the Fan Statute and the Competition Regulations.


2. Due to serious problems that occurred in the past, the club adopted the standard for sales to be made by the home team, directly to Flamengo fans at the match venue.  

 

3. In the past, Flamengo, in good faith, even asked the principal to deliver a certain quota to a specific group of fans for their respective organizations, in response to requests. This action has generated numerous problems and countless questions about favoritism, either by certain groups over other fans or between distinct groups.

 

4. Therefore, since last year, after problems occurred in some Brazilian Championship games, the club's decision was to no longer make any requests to the home team, whether to embassies, consulates or fan groups.

 

5. In this sense, Flamengo, with the same good faith, informed, as it has always done, that the sale would be made by the principal, in accordance with the law.

 

6. In Flamengo's view, the most democratic way to serve local fans is for them to go to the points of sale (including online, when available) indicated by the home club and purchase their ticket on equal terms with other visiting fans.  

 

7. For Saturday's game, we will have approximately 4 fans in attendance at Fonte Nova, who were able to purchase tickets at the home team's ticket sales points. Flamengo fans will be represented, but unfortunately, some of them will not have been able to purchase tickets because the number of tickets allocated to the away team is always lower than the demand from our fans.

 

8. Flamengo's board of directors did not make any decision with the intention of harming any fan, it simply maintained the standard position it has been adopting.

 

9. We deeply regret any Flamengo fans who were unable to attend, but we understand that last year's decision was the clearest and most obvious way to avoid unfairness. That is, the sale would be made equally by the host team, with all bidders on equal terms.

 

10. It's worth noting that the National Embassies and Consulates Program is a source of great pride for all Flamengo fans. Knowing this, it has received the full support of our current administration. It was this administration that even created a Vice Presidency dedicated to the project, with a designated budget and a dedicated team. Throughout this period, many initiatives have been developed with the hundreds of embassies and consulates located throughout Brazil and abroad. We extend our deepest gratitude to these great Flamengo fans who encourage and work to further strengthen Flamengo's reputation.

 

11. Likewise, Flamengo is enormously grateful to the people of Bahia for the affection and strength they have always given our team.

 

12. Finally, the club's management is open to discussing the matter with Embassies and Consulates and fan groups, to try to reach a better solution for the future, but makes it clear that the principle of equal rights and opportunities is a preponderant factor in any debate, so that we are not unfair to fans not affiliated with groups and fan groups.
