The red-and-black Olympic sport demonstrated its global power by winning six medals at the 2024 Paris Olympics. Gymnast Rebeca Andrade alone won four more medals, becoming the most decorated Brazilian in history. In sprint canoeing, Isaquias Queiroz also reached the podium with a silver medal, becoming the second-highest-winning Brazilian in the world. 

Based on the Mais Querido's sporting success at the Olympic Games, there was an increase in demand for the club's sports academy. Today, Flamengo's Sports School has over 3 students in ten different sports:
