Hands on deck even on the holiday! Continuing the 'Solidarity Nation' campaign, Flamengo distributed hand sanitizer this Thursday (11) in the communities of Dendê, Favela Boogui Ugui, and Cordovil, as well as to homeless people in downtown Rio. In Morro do Adeus, in addition to hand sanitizer units, there was also the delivery of basic food baskets, protective masks and packets of Mendorato peanuts, the club's sponsor.

About a month ago, Mais Querido, in partnership with LBBio (Brazilian Biology Laboratory), donated 5 bottles of hand sanitizer during the Sorriso Maroto Group livestream. These bottles were distributed to residents of these four communities today.

"This aid is a great source of satisfaction for all the community residents. Thank God, we're able to help so many people. We have many truly needy people, who are currently unemployed and in dire need of this small contribution, which we've made together with Flamengo," said João Antônio, community leader of Morro do Adeus.

Rachel Pinho, a volunteer working at Morro do Adeus, emphasized that all help is very welcome during this pandemic.

"People here live with great difficulty, and with this pandemic, the situation has worsened even further. Help comes in the form of love. We came together to help families, and thank God, we've already been able to serve a reasonable number of residents. Hunger doesn't wait! So it's gratifying to know that today we were able to alleviate someone's suffering," Rachel declared.

It's worth noting that the protective masks were donated by Flamengo star De Arrascaeta, just as Flamengo's hand sanitizer units are produced in partnership with LBBio (Brazilian Biology Laboratory). To date, the 'Solidarity Nation' campaign has distributed approximately 15 bottles of hand sanitizer and 4 masks in 52 communities in Rio de Janeiro and Greater Rio de Janeiro.
