Clube de Regatas do Flamengo announces that its general director, Fred Luz, will be leaving the club to pursue personal projects. Bruno Spindel, Marketing Director, will take over as CEO.

Fred, who will continue to assist Flamengo as a consultant, joined the club in 2013, at the beginning of Eduardo Bandeira de Mello's administration, and served as Marketing Director until being promoted to CEO in 2014, thanks to his excellent work in that role. Under his leadership, the professional executive team modernized management processes, consolidated its fan membership program (now the club's second-largest source of revenue), led negotiations to renew the Flamengo television contract, created the Center of Excellence in Football Performance (CEP FLA), established key partnerships for football, such as those with Double Pass and Exxos, and completed important projects in Gávea and the George Helal Training Center.

Bruno Spindel has been with the club since 2013 and has done extensive work in marketing alongside Fred, succeeding him as head of the department. Since then, following the strategic guidance of the club's Board of Directors (CODI), he has signed important commercial agreements in the areas of licensing and sponsorship, solidifying Flamengo as the largest communications and marketing platform in Brazilian sports.
In 2017, the Marketing department played a decisive role in helping the club achieve the best financial balance in Flamengo's history, with revenue from the member-fan program growing by 62%, while revenue from sponsorships increased by almost 40%.

Flamengo wishes both professionals success in their new challenges.
