On Tuesday afternoon (13), the Main Hall of the Gávea social headquarters hosted an event for the social project “Enquanto Fôlego Houver”. The initiative, conceived by Bruna Letícia, promotes the fight against suicide through speeches and music. This month, Yellow September, Flamengo provided space for the meeting through its Social Responsibility department.
"We brought to the club an initiative we've already implemented in schools. This work that Bruna (Letícia) is doing with the singing couple Biorki and Thay is really cool and fits into one of the pillars of our Social Responsibility department: quality of life. They made everyone reflect on this very important topic," said Ângela Machado, the department's statutory director.
The message of combating depression and suicide was heard by employees, associates, and athletes, as well as president Rodolfo Landim, who understood the need to actively raise awareness of the value of life, the need for professional support, and psychological strengthening in times of crisis. Flamengo's partnership with the "Enquanto Fôlego Houver" project will also promote performances at public schools throughout September. Music plays a key role in facilitating the message, connecting young people through a language connected to reality.
"Flamengo is opening several doors for us to conduct these visits and discuss this very special topic. The message is spreading, and I'm very grateful for the club's participation in helping us touch even more hearts. The project began with a song, which now gives the project its name. This song resonated deeply with me, as I have personal experience with this. And so I had the idea for it to be more than just a song; it would be a school visitation project to promote the value of life," said Bruna Letícia.
