Another important step towards realizing the Nation's long-held dream has been taken! On Friday night (22), Flamengo gathered around 400 members in the Noble Hall of the Gávea headquarters to present, first-hand, the preliminary architectural and engineering study that encompasses the project bases for its future own stadium. The presentation was made by President Rodolfo Landim, General Vice President Rodrigo Dunshee, Vice President of Assets Marcos Bodin, and Rubro-Negro CEO Reinaldo Belotti. The stadium has scheduled for release on November 15, 2029, Flamengo's birthday.

The studies and project bases were presented by Arena Events + Venues, a company specializing in the construction of stadiums and arenas, but the final choice of the responsible company will be the result of a competition to be held between several interested parties. O material included a video, images and budget bases. The project foresees a total investment of R$1,93 billion, divided between land, surveying, decontamination and earthworks, foundation, structures, facilities, parking, roofing, field and urbanization and landscaping, a commitment with the City of Rio. A The company also presented a detailed study on acoustics, crowd flow, urban integration, environment, traffic studies, etc. The project also includes 6.200m² of LED panels, the main one indoors, with 360° views, and a large screen outside the stadium.

"It's always been our goal to leave a legacy for Flamengo members and fans. And we've done so in several areas. In sports, we're a multi-champion management team across all sports. Gávea has never been so well-maintained. Finance-wise, it was a stellar effort, ranking second in the world for profit. And the icing on the cake, our stadium, was only possible thanks to these six years of intense work. I emphasize this so members remember that it wasn't easy, nor quick, but our commitment was worth it," said Landim.

"The entire project and implementation will go through the Compliance and Integrity department, created by our management. Members and fans need to know that this is a commitment from our management, which fought hard to make this dream a reality. And we will do this without the need for a SAF (Soccer Audit Office), because Flamengo doesn't need an owner; the club belongs to the nation. We are committed to building the stadium. We have a detailed technical project that was presented today, and we will work hard to get it up and running, always consulting the Board at the appropriate time," he said. Dunshee.

During the presentation, the The board answered members' questions and committed to making investments through new revenue streams created with the stadium itself, without compromising the club's finances. These revenue streams, combined, amount to R$2,467 billion. See the assessments:

- Naming rights, valued at R$1,5 billion over 20 years.

- Advance sale of 1.000 perpetual chairs, valued at R$187 million.

- Advance sale of 5.000 chairs for 5 years, valued at R$183 million.

- Advance sale of 28 boxes for 5 years, valued at R$100 million.

- Construction potential of Gávea, valued at R$497 million.

"This is another step towards the historic achievement achieved by the Landim and Dunshee administration. It's a dream that can come true thanks to excellent financial and sports management and a strong relationship with the City Hall. However, members need to be vigilant and verify who were the people who actually acted and committed not only to the acquisition of the land, but also to its construction and viability without impacting the club and its sports performance," explained Bodin.

Greatness and proximity

The nation can expect a red-and-black cauldron. Built in this format, the stadium will have approximately 80 seats, all of which will be taken over by the fans. The project also includes a "new general area," with more affordable tickets. Fans will also be much closer to the pitch than at Maracanã, with one of the shortest distances between fans and pitch in Brazil. The acoustics of the North Stand, where the World's Biggest Fan Base will be located, were designed so that the sound reaches the field 16 decibels higher than other stadiums. The stadium will be 60 meters high, taller than the Maracanã, and will have 27 elevators, as well as integrated architecture with the 16 main internal access ramps.
