Flamengo launched this Thursday (10), at Ninho do Urubu, the new Nação, the club's membership program. More than a ticket sales channel, the new Nação is born as a platform for connecting with the red-and-black fans. The program was designed to go beyond the stadiums. Now, it is for everyone, those who frequent Maracanã and those who live far from the stands, but carry the passion for Flamengo wherever they go.

Based on research that identified the desires of the Rubro-Negra Nation, the new program includes both fans who frequent Maracanã — who now have access to tickets in any of the three new plans — and the millions of Flamengo fans spread across Brazil who, with a national plan, now have the opportunity to connect with the club and keep alive the dream of supporting Mengão in various cities across the country.

"The new Nação isn't limited to the stadium. We have 45 million fans, and only 2% attend Maracanã. The stadium is finite, limited. Nação was born to be large, inclusive, and borderless," says Roberto Trinas, Flamengo's Director of Products and Services. Trinas reinforced: "The foundation of everything here is our fans. Everything we do, every day, is for the benefit of Flamengo fans. We've placed them at the center of our strategy. We had a ticket sales platform, which we will transform into a broad relationship platform."

Player Danilo was the first to wear the new Mantle with the Nação patch. The uniform will be officially worn by the team during the month of May, starting with the match against Juventude on the 16th.

The program is divided into Maraca Nation 1, Maraca Nation 2, Maraca Nation 3, and Nation Without Borders. The four previous plans are now three, in the Maraca version, maintaining the rating that rewards longevity in the program, and now in Nation 2, stadium attendance.

With Nação Sem Fronteiras, for R$19,81 per month, Flamengo fans across the country can purchase tickets for games outside of Rio, one game at Maracanã each season, cashback, discounts and access to experiences that only Flamengo can offer.

The new Nação also represents a breakthrough in technology and fan engagement. The club invested in modernizing its service channels and strengthening its network of partners, aiming to better understand its fans' profiles and offer a personalized, accessible, and high-quality experience.

At the end of the press conference, Roberto Trinas spoke to the press. See the highlights below.

What is Flamengo's goal? How many fan club members does Flamengo intend to have?

Trinas: 45 million. That's the goal. We believe these plans were tailored to every Flamengo fan. We will continually listen to fans and consider everything possible. We have a plan that serves fans throughout Brazil—and very soon, those outside the country. There's no reason any fan who wants to get involved shouldn't be a part of it. It's up to us to quickly transform this program into a program for 45 million fans.

Can a fan of the Nation Without Borders plan buy tickets for games outside their state/city?

Trinas: The plan won't just benefit local fans. It will also cover any stadium when Flamengo plays away. If Flamengo plays at Castelão, the entire Northeast and other regions will have access to these tickets. There's no city limit.

How to keep the “off-stadium” fan’s dream of being at Maracanã alive?

Trinas: Nation Without Borders, responding to a demand we heard from our fans, will allow fans to attend Maracanã once a year. We want more people to go to games. Fans who live in remote areas will be able to plan to attend Maracanã once a year.
