This Wednesday (15) was a day of celebration! To celebrate its 128 years of history, Flamengo held traditional festive activities at the club's headquarters in Gávea, with the presence of president Rodolfo Landim, directors and members of Mais Querido.

The program began in the morning, at the rowing club, with the traditional dawn service and the raising of the flags of Brazil, Rio de Janeiro, and Flamengo. The Marine Corps band was present, as were athletes and staff from the club's founding sport.

After dawn, the red-and-black fans headed to the Chapel of Saint Jude Thaddeus, at the club's headquarters, where a mass was celebrated to commemorate the 128th anniversary of the Most Beloved Club in the World. Next door, at Boca Maldita, the traditional breakfast took place, livened up by the Charanga Rubro-Negra.

President Landim spoke during the celebrations.

"It's always a source of great happiness. I say I have two birthdays: my own and Flamengo's. I consider this date my birthday too. I imagine everyone here feels a bit the same way. Thank you for coming, and let's hope that in the future we continue working to make Flamengo even bigger and better," said the Flamengo president.

The day of festivities in Gávea ended with a football match between the artists, played on the official field.
