Flamengo convenes the Council of Great Benefactors to vote and grant honorary titles
Emeritus, Benefactors and Great Benefactors registered and Honorary nominated by CODI will be voted on
By Flamengo Regatta Club - inThis Thursday (5), starting at 17 pm, an ordinary meeting of the Council of Great Benefactors will be held to vote and grant honorary titles to those registered as Emeritus, Benefactors and Great Benefactors and those nominated by the Board of Directors for Honorary.
Voting will be secret and in-person, adhering to the club's health safety protocol and the Rio de Janeiro City Hall's Golden Rules, in the Moreira Leite room. The attendance book will be available starting at 16 p.m.
Understand each title, according to the Statute of Clube de Regatas do Flamengo:
Great Benefactor is the Benefactor who, for a period equal to or greater than ten years, counting from the date of granting the benefit, continues to provide relevant services to FLAMENGO, in the judgment of the competent Authority.
Worthy is the Emeritus who, for a period equal to or greater than five years, counting from the date of granting the emeritus, continues to provide relevant services to FLAMENGO, in the judgment of the competent Authority.
Emeritus is the member who, for a period equal to or greater than five years, provides relevant services to FLAMENGO, in the judgment of the competent Authority.
Honorary is the one to whom this title is conferred by the competent Authority, as a special tribute, in recognition of notable services rendered to FLAMENGO or national sport.
The Council's decisions will be made by a majority vote of those present, and each councilor will be entitled to vote for only two of the nominees for the major benefactor category, three for meritorious, and five for emeriti. Once approved, the nominees for the titles will be forwarded by the Council of Major Benefactors to the CODE for presentation at a formal meeting to be held in the second half of November.
At this same event, members who have completed 50 years of uninterrupted membership and employees who have provided 30 years of service to Flamengo will also be honored.
