March 21st is celebrated as the International Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination. As part of this commitment, Flamengo will hold a major anti-racism mobilization at the Maracanã stadium on Thursday, March 19th, minutes before the match between Flamengo and Remo, with the participation of players and the entire Flamengo fanbase.

For Flamengo, the fight against racism goes beyond an institutional stance: it is a club policy, stipulated in its statutes and reflected in its daily practices.

Flamengo and its athletes call upon the Nation to say no to racism. At the Maracanã, two minutes before the start of the match, the stadium will be the stage for a mobilization. Everyone will stand, reproducing the gesture adopted by referees in cases of racial discrimination: arms crossed at chest height, with palms open. More than an act, it will be a message of the Nation's strength, in a single movement, combating prejudice.

Those who aren't at the stadium can also participate. Through social media, every fan can join the hashtag #nacaocontraoracismo and participate in this movement. Let's show the Nation's message to the world.

This agenda is also aligned with the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The club is part of the "Football for the SDGs" program, which brings together global initiatives, including the fight against racism.
