On Tuesday evening, July 30th, Clube de Regatas do Flamengo held a historic meeting of its Deliberative Council. For the first time, council members were able to participate remotely and exercise their right to vote remotely—a significant step forward in the club's modernization and expansion of democratic participation.

The measure fulfills a campaign promise by President Luiz Eduardo Baptista, known as Bap, and marks a new chapter in the red-black government.

"We are fulfilling our commitment to implement remote voting, using technology so that council members can follow the sessions and vote from wherever they are. Our goal is to increase participation and bring even closer those who are physically distant, but always close to Flamengo," stated the president.

Deliberative Council President Ricardo Lomba also celebrated this milestone in the club's history: "We are very proud of what we have provided for the board members today. Many people were involved and worked to ensure that as many members as possible could exercise their right to participate and vote."

Also present at the meeting and a member of the club's Provisional Information Technology Committee, Frederico Argolo commented on the robustness of the structure. "From two-factor authentication to data encryption, we were very concerned about security and confidentiality throughout the process and arrived at a very robust solution that allowed board members to participate from anywhere," stated Fred.

The meeting was attended by 192 councilors in person and 392 remotely.
