The Flamengo fans will have a very special reinforcement for the first leg of the Copa do Brasil final, which will be held this Sunday (17), at Maracanã: boys and girls from Rio de Janeiro communities who participate in the Taça das Favelas, the largest soccer championship between favelas in the world, organized by CUFA – Central Única das Favelas and produced by InFavela, a company of the Favela Holding Group. The initiative is the result of the “Nação no Maraca” project, which is part of the Social Inclusion Agenda of Flamengo's Social Responsibility Department. Through this initiative, more than 5 tickets for Flamengo games at Maracanã have been distributed this year alone to groups from social projects, public schools, indigenous peoples, refugees, shelter and social reintegration institutions, among others.

"In the various initiatives developed over the years, CUFA has partnered with many major institutions, including Clube de Regatas do Flamengo, which has supported several humanitarian initiatives we've implemented. Now, Flamengo is scoring another Um Gol Pra Toda Vida (One Goal for a Lifetime), enabling these young people from the Taça das Favelas, the largest inter-favela soccer championship in the world, to be present at this great soccer temple and witness this grand final, most of them attending Maracanã for the first time," said Celso Athayde, founder of CUFA and creator of the Taça das Favelas.

In addition to CUFA, the Nation at Maraca event for the Copa do Brasil final will also bring five other social institutions to Maracanã to cheer on Mengão: Craques da Vida, from Vila Aliança, in Rio's West Zone; Futebol Parque Ipanema, from Queimados, in Baixada Fluminense; Em Ação, from Complexo do Alemão, in Rio's North Zone; and Solar Meninos de Luz and Projeto Acolher, both from Morro do Cantagalo, in the city's South Zone. A total of 300 tickets will be distributed.

"The Taça das Favelas has already given me so much, especially in 2019, when we were champions and had the opportunity to see Sugarloaf Mountain, which I had never been to. And now the Taça allows me to go to Maracanã, also for the first time, and see my Mengão," said Diana França, goalkeeper for Curral das Éguas. "I want to thank CUFA and Flamengo for giving me all of this," she added.
