Flamengo, through a partnership between artistic gymnastics and swimming athletes and the social responsibility project “Recicla Nação”, donated 400 cartons of milk to families of cancer patients assisted by INCAvoluntário.

To receive the donations, 42 people, including INCAvoluntário patients and their companions, were at the club this Monday (10) and watched the artistic gymnastics athletes train, in addition to learning a little more about the history of Mais Querido on a tour of Gávea with the educational team at the Flamengo Museum.

Athletes Rebeca Andrade, Jade Barbosa, Flávia Saraiva, Lorrane Oliveira, and Diogo Soares welcomed the patients to the Cláudio Coutinho gymnasium for conversations and photos. On behalf of the red-and-black artistic gymnastics team, Jade delivered a message of strength and motivation to patients battling cancer.

In the pool at the “Fadel Fadel” water park, patients also had the opportunity to watch a brief presentation by artistic swimming athletes.

Through "Recicla Nação," the club's plastic bottle caps and other solid waste are recycled, and all proceeds go toward paying for food for people in extreme situations. This is a CRF Social Responsibility project in partnership with Soul Ambiental.
