Flamengo Regatta Club was featured at the first edition of CBC & Clubes Expo, a major Brazilian Olympic sports event held during the week in Campinas, São Paulo. This event brought together leading sports clubs, sponsors, suppliers, and leading figures in the sport in a setting dedicated to strengthening Brazilian sports.
CRF athletes were present, such as gymnasts Rebeca Andrade, Flavia Saraiva, Jade Barbosa and Lorrane Oliveira, judoka Rafaela Silva, canoeist Isaquias Queiroz, SESC RJ Flamengo coach Bernardinho, as well as red-and-black football idols Zico and Junior.
"Flamengo is the biggest club stand and certainly the best content of the event. We brought our six Olympic medalists, two, three, four every day... The movement never stops, a huge line. Our idols Zico and Junior also came here, and it was a full house the whole time," celebrated Marcus Vinícius Freire, Flamengo's director of Olympic Sports.
Bernardinho participated in the second day of the event, on Wednesday (12) with the lecture "The Culture of Excellence", where he spoke about his vast experience with the sport and the importance of leadership in the pursuit of high performance. Zico and Júnior took the stage on Thursday (13) to talk about the importance of the event and also about their history in the sport.
Our Olympic athletes: Rebeca Andrade, Lorrane Oliveira, Flavia Saraiva and Rafa Silva were present at the lecture by Flamengo's Director of Olympic Sports, Marcus Vinícius Freire, on the panel "Stories gathered from more than 20 Olympics". And, to close the Mais Querido's participation in CBC & Clubes EXPO, Jade Barbosa was one of the speakers on the panel "Olympic Women" on the last day of the event, which was Saturday (15).
