Last Tuesday (7), Flamengo and Orthopride promoted another action of the “Time do Sorriso” project, which brought oral health to children and adolescents at the Instituto Lugar de Esperança, located in Jardim Paraíso, Nova Iguaçu. The project, which aims to contribute to the health of the population through preventive care for children and oral hygiene instructions, also distributed kits with toothpaste, a toothbrush and a protective mask from Mais Querido.

The event, aimed at vulnerable children between the ages of 5 and 12, featured Orthopride dentists who explained the importance of oral hygiene and provided guided brushing sessions for the children present.

Fabio Justino, project coordinator at Instituto Lugar de Esperança, highlighted the importance of raising awareness about oral health.

"The initiative was extremely important. I'm sure more than half of the children present wouldn't be able to afford such personalized care. We're in a region where initiatives like this are extremely important. It's also worth highlighting the importance of bringing oral health knowledge to children in this age group. It's gratifying to have brands with such credibility as Flamengo and Orthopride carrying out this type of initiative," he said.

Created by Marinês Brito and Antonio Carlos, who have been working in the region for around 26 years, the Instituto Lugar de Esperança offers community college preparatory courses and professional training courses for young people from Baixada Fluminense.
