Terra Futebol Clube will take to the field at Maracanã Stadium for the Flamengo vs. Fluminense match, a 30th round match of the Brazilian Championship, with the goal of engaging Flamengo fans in the fight against climate change. During the activation, 12 young people will take to the field before the game carrying a banner with the campaign slogan: "Join the game to save the game." Meanwhile, the stadium's big screen will display the project's manifesto. The activation is the result of a partnership with Mais Querido's Vice Presidency of Social Responsibility. In recent weeks, in addition to institutional support, the club also opened the doors of Ninho do Urubu to produce content featuring the club's youth teams.

"FLA vs. FLU is a classic Rio de Janeiro soccer match, with a large number of viewers watching the match live, either in person or via streaming. This reception from Flamengo reinforces their support for the campaign and makes us very happy to be able to engage so many people in the fight against climate change," said Ricardo Calçado, Director of Terra Futebol Clube.

"Through interactive and fun activities, Terra FC seeks not only to inform but also to engage the public in concrete actions that contribute to environmental preservation, all in an atmosphere of celebration and solidarity among football fans," says Marcos Botelho, Director of Terra Futebol Clube.

The Goals for Earth campaign, launched on October 10th, promotes healthy competition among teams to promote action against climate change. There are ten actions each player and fan can take to score points for their team until November 10th. These include: walking, cycling, or taking public transportation to games to reduce carbon emissions and pollution; watching matches in restaurants or bars with friends to save energy; recycling their posters and cups after games; and wearing their club's retro jerseys to encourage reduced consumerism. The club with the highest points at the end of the period will win the Earth Cup.

The activation at the stadium marks one of many events that will take place until November 10th as part of the campaign to reinforce Flamengo fans' engagement around environmental preservation.

ABOUT TERRA FC
Terra FC is a campaign to mobilize millions of football fans in Brazil and around the world in preparation for COP30, using the power of football to protect what we love.

The campaign invites fans, players, clubs, governments, and the entire football community to join Terra FC in showing their support for action against climate change and the destruction of nature. It also demonstrates the impact the football community can make by taking positive climate action—such as scoring a Goal for the Earth as part of a competition among fans in Rio de Janeiro.
