On the afternoon of this Friday (18), Flamengo's Social Responsibility sector played together with the Nation and filled the Urubus and a van with donations destined for Petrópolis, in support of the mountain city, after a strong storm that fell last Tuesday (15), where landslides and flooding occurred in several places.

After two days of collecting supplies at Mais Querido's headquarters, the supplies were sent to the support center of Citizen Action Against Hunger and Poverty. Mengão has been sending daily support to the city of Petrópolis. The project produces more than 1000 meals a day and delivers the collected items to the residents of Petrópolis once a day.

Food deliveries to the social project occur daily through collection points or via PIX. Donations are delivered to the "Citizenship Action Against Hunger and Poverty" project, which allocates the items to the Imperial City.

Vice President of Social Responsibility, Ricardo Campelo, explained how the partnership has worked, which seeks to welcome those in need throughout Brazil and, at this time, Petrópolis.

"We have a very interesting partnership with Ação Cidadania. We share responsibilities. They handle all the distribution and preparation logistics, we handle the receiving points, and we also handle transportation. We pre-sort the distribution process through Ação Cidadania," Ricardo explained.
