Flamengo signed with Futster, the first Brazilian game of football manager with collectible NFT cards, to enter the universe of NFT games. The pre-sale of Flamengo's official card packs began this Tuesday (27). The club's packs include several names from the current squad: Arrascaeta, Vidal, Everton Cebolinha, Rodinei, Filipe Luís, Léo Pereira, Bruno Henrique, João Gomes, Santos, Rodrigo Caio, Pablo, Hugo, Thiago Maia, Diego Alves and Marinho.

In addition to the Flamengo packs and the other clubs that will be in the game, the player also has the possibility of purchasing the Futster pack, with cards of fictional athletes. 

Flamengo's Vice President of Communications and Marketing, Gustavo Oliveira, celebrated the club's adoption of the game.

"Flamengo is always aware of market trends to seek the best partnerships for the club and meet the needs of our fans. We are very excited about this new project and are certain that the Red-Black Nation will greatly benefit from this new product," said the director. 

Futster's executive producer, Ivan Duffles, highlighted the importance of new partnerships.

"Futster is inspired by Brazil's passion for football, and clubs are a fundamental part of that. It's for them that fans go to the stadium and celebrate. The partnership with major institutions makes the game even more engaging, giving users the chance to play with real clubs and athletes. The game will receive constant updates, and more features will be announced in the coming weeks," he said.

Bruno Natal, the game's creative director, commented on the combination of sticker albums and technology.

"Futster combines the craze of sticker albums and the appeal of gaming, digitizing the collecting experience. Besides being beautiful, collectible cards are essential pieces in a soccer game based on selecting teams and devising the best strategy for your team," he concluded.

What will the card packs look like?

The packs, which contain three collectible cards, are available in the Várzea, Favorites, Champions, and Idols categories. The cards are divided into six rarity levels: Simple, Common, Uncommon, Rare, Ace, and Legend. During the pre-sale period—which runs until October 11th or while packs last—the Favorites and Champions categories will be 50% off, and the Idols category will be R$200 off the original price. 

 

- The Várzea pack - which will not yet be available for pre-sale - will be sold for R$3 and will contain cards of all rarities, but only of fictional players.

- The Favorites pack, sold for R$15 (full price: R$30), has cards of all rarities - with real and fictional players. 

- The Champions pack, sold for R$35 (full price: R$70), does not include Simple rarity cards, which excludes those of lower value. 

- The Idols pack costs R$1.000 (full price: R$1200) and only contains cards from the Rare, Ace and Legend categories. 

Considering the specificities of each pack category, all cards are distributed randomly. In total, 26 Favorites packs, 13 Champions packs, and 635 Idol packs will be available for sale per club.

Cards purchased exclusively through pre-sale will be special to mark the launch of Futster and, in the future, will provide access to in-game experiences. Later, there will also be a type of card that will not yet be available through pre-sale: the Unique card. These cards, with a print run of only one, will feature prominent athletes and will be available only through auctions on the Futster platform. 

All players who pre-purchase card packs will have access to the game on October 11th, one week before the public launch on October 18th. Also on the 11th, general card sales will open, meaning users who already have access to the game will be able to purchase new cards, and players who only have access from the 18th onward will also be able to purchase cards. In Futster, a football manager-style game, players can collect cards of Brazilian and fictional football players and clubs. They can form teams, play matches, and compete in tournaments against other users. They can also trade cards and accessories in a marketplace, where the packs released this Friday are already on sale. Winning rewards reward players, such as game tokens and new cards. 

Athletes' collectible cards reveal unique behavioral traits and statistics, which influence team performance. Futster players must create the best combinations of athletes to form their teams, considering that matches are driven by artificial intelligence, with moves based on the combination of each athlete's skills and characteristics. 

Futster is built on blockchain technology. The game's NFT cards and tokens are generated on Polygon, the second layer of the Ethereum network, which ensures scalability and transaction efficiency without compromising the blockchain's security and decentralization. The tokens follow the ERC-721 and ERC-20 standards, ensuring they are secure and easily tradable. The Futster token will be available 30 days after the game's public launch. Users who play before launch will receive airdrops based on their achievements.
